60 Minutes exposes Australian Health Fraud
The lack of regulation that allows the Australian Health Fraud Industry to prosper in Australia was the lead story tonight on 60 Minutes. Among the people featured on the show was Naturopath Jeffrey Dummett, who has featured on this blog with the death of a man he had placed on a de-tox diet.The story showed the stark reality of the health fraud industry. The main danger in taking the compounds and treatments of your local naturopath, herbalist, homeopath is not in the treatment itself, but the fact that you are delaying real treatment. When it comes to cancer, this delay can be death sentence.
We can only hope that the program opens the eyes of the general public to alert them to the dangers of using SCAM. With the large number of viewers, now is the time to mobilise the public to demand the government act. Australia is still a county where you can have no license, no education, no training and no idea, yet still practice as an alternative medicine practitioner.

I don't condone these men's actions, but at the same time nobody can say that alternative medicine is always a scam everywhere. Following only alternative medicine isn't a smart thing either. I'm not just saying this because I'm a homeopathic fanboy, I'm just trying to be fair. Some alternative procedures work or at least improve the quality of life (as health is not only defined by wellness of the body). Besides, how many practitioners of orthodox medicine are currently scamming their patients. Don't let where the media's spotlights blind you to what's outside. There's a whole stage out there, and sadly, it's become the job of the average man to look.
I can say that alternative medicine is always a scam. If someone is pushing an unfounded therapy, even if it is safe and they really really believe it works, it is a scam. Homeopathy is a perfect example. Many MD's are scamming their patients but that is beside the point and is the argumental equivelant to screamming "I know you are but what am I!" as a rebuttal. The faults of organized medicine do not in some magical way make it okay for irregular medicine hucksters to perpetrate health fraud.

Dear Sir,
I refer to your letter written to Wendy Murray addressing issues between Dr Jeffrey P Dummett and the NSW Medical Board and the Department of Fair Trading. This lawsuit that has been brought against him is of consequence to the future of law and our constitution. This lawsuit has never been brought before any Australian court before.
Dr Dummett has been served with 12 summons by the NSW Medical Board for giving medical advice to research participants. Each summons comes with the penalty of 12 months imprisonment or $5000.
Dr Jeffrey Dummett serves as Technical Director for the Research Institute has been appointed by the Executive Committee as its represented delegate
Dr Dummett claims that while using the Advanced Diagnostic Laboratory Tests developed and designed by The Research Institute of Diet, Disease & Prevention he informed research participants they had parasites Progenitor Cryptocides in their blood and if not treated by correct dietary lifestyle changes, this parasitic infection may lead to a chronic degenerative state of ill health and/or life threatening disease.
Over 95% of patients currently researched via the Research Institute of Diet, Disease & Prevention, have been screened for parasites, showing symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, bloated stomach, Candida menstrual / menopausal syndromes, inflammatory skin conditions - eczema, psoriasis, excessive body fat, chronic disease - arthritis, cancer, cardio vascular, recurrent viral, bacterial and fungal infections, constipation, bad breathe, heartburn, muscle aches and pains, depression, migraine headaches, high blood pressure, prostate problems, infertility, thyroid, diabetes. Elevated amounts of proteinaceous mats of Progenitor Cryptocides have been continually monitored in these patients' blood.
In 1972 Cancer Microbiologist Dr Virginia Livingston-Wheeler published research providing indisputable evidence implicating bacteria as the cause of cancer. She named this parasite "Progenitor Cryptocides" (Progenitor=primitive, Crypto=secret or hidden, cides=killer). Reaching far back in early 1940 she discovered that when this organism being injected into rat's, tumours and progression of cancers could be initiated.
Her research documented that this bacterium was able to filter through filter systems only designed for viruses. Her research also substantiated that this bacterium was responsible for triggering DNA RNA to mass produce choriogonadotropin (HCG), a growth hormone giving growth to tumors, gene mutation and cell division. She "concluded that these microorganisms, P. Cryptocides, could not only cause cancer but a number of other ailments which afflict man. The infectious nature of arthritis, of some kinds of heart, liver, and kidney impairment, and most recently diabetes, has been proposed.
The western medical world, in spite of European interest, disclaimed Dr Livingston's research because it would mean a blow to substantial financial contributories in the cancer research arena. The idea that cancer and other degenerative diseases is caused by bacteria is considered preposterous by most physicians. Nevertheless, there is ample evidence in the medical literature to suggest that a so-called "cancer microbe" plays a role in the etiology of cancer.
We believe that more money is being made from treating cancer than those who die of it, and while doctors claim success treating cancer with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, statistics prove otherwise (report enclosed).
We believe that the blood, urine and saliva testing as developed by the Research Institute of Diet, Disease & Prevention is capable of early intervention thus potentially saving millions of people from premature death. We believe this would reduce the Commonwealth burden of debt by saving billions of dollars.
Dr Dummett has also been charged by the Department of Fair Trading for falsely advertising such claims. The Australian Medical Association along with the Department of Fair Trading are challenging the efficacy of the new Cryptostain Blood, Urine And Saliva Testing as developed by the Research Institute of Diet, Disease & Prevention which is capable of early intervention saving millions of people from premature death and reduce the Commonwealth burden of debt. We believe this lawsuit is being used as an agenda to restrict Australian liberties in natural medicine.
